So here I am three months later.
The other day a lady from Guadeloupe stopped me and asked me about my hair. I was quite surprised coz I have often caught black women staring at my hair but no one had the gall to ask me what I'd done. Anyway, I took my time to chat about my hair journey to the curious lady but when she heard about the London-Paris-London trip she quickly said oh la la, c'est trop compliquer!
Three and a half months after installation my locks are settling in well and am pleased. No slippage, no nothing. Sometimes I walk past women with beautiful weaves and braids and I feel nostalgic. I used to have some of the most extravagant hairdos and I miss all that. But I know that in a couple of years I'll be rocking my hair like 'em sisters who started locking years ago and have hair reaching their back!
I enjoy washing my hair coz after's when I really notice the change. My scalp doesn't show anymore which means it's thickening.
Initially my scalp used to itch like crazy but not anymore except for the dandruff. I've tried every kind of shampoo, but nothing's helpeed so far. So I've just decided to live with it and pretend all is well.
