Patience in washing my locks

The last time I went to London for retightening (23 October), Marie, my consultant, noticed that I had done a bad job in washing my hair and it was true. I had arrived from Paris so late the day before my retightening appointment; I was tired and hungry so with the help of my nieces we braided and banded my hair. By the time I'd finished washing it and had a bath, it was after midnight and everyone had gone to bed. So there I was all by myself unbraided and separating my locks one by one as best as could but with half closed eyes. I blow dryed it abit and then went to bed with a damp head. In the back of my mind I knew I'd done a bad job and it took Marie a while to separate the intertwined strands and then redefine the lines. Arrghh, I was upset with myself, me, who wants the best microlocks. Anyway, Marie did a good job in fixing my locks and they still look great; but I promised myself never to rush when washing my hair and I'll also do my own braiding and banding.

With winter on the way, Marie said I could start putting a little oil on my scalp. Am quite pleased about this since my scalp's still flaky. I use sweet almond oil or coconut oil. The dry scalp persists but it's much better - at least I wash my hair every 2 weeks now unlike the weekly washes I did before. So drinking water does help but I think I need to drink much more.
